4.) If nothing offered interests you, start something of your own!

I remember feeling like there wasn’t anything out there that really captured my full attention. I was really into drawing and fashion. I had a whole sketchbook of sketches and prints that I had created. I was also really passionate about helping orphans and street children.

I came up with an idea to print t-shirts and sell them for charity. At that time, there weren’t many charities like that, and I ran with that idea during my last year of high school. The most important advice I can give to international students is to be innovative and to start your own institutions and foundations if you want to.
