HOW TO SEW A NECK POUCH

A neck pouch is the perfect way to carry quotes with you at all times. Just wearing it will make you feel immensely powerful and capable of great things.

You will need:

• Medium-weight fabric in one color (old clothes, such as jeans, are good for this)
• Strong string or leather lace
• A button or sew-on snap closure
• Needle and thread
• Embroidery thread (optional)
• Iron

1. Cut out a rectangle of cloth measuring 7-by-2½ inches.

2. Fold down ¼ inch on all edges. Press with an iron and baste.

3. Fold bottom of pouch up 2½ inches and sew sides.

4. Braid yarn into cord for strap, if desired, and knot ends to keep from unraveling. Sew braided strap onto underside of flap, above pouch opening.

5. Add a button to front of the pouch and a loop to the top of flap as shown in the photo here.
