Activator: Member of the Wander Society who identifies a need in his or her community and uses WS methods to solve it.

Annotation: The act of writing in the margins of books as a form of guerrilla art.

Debugging: The act of going on a wander with the purpose of shifting one’s mental state. Usually employed after using too much technology.

Grazing: Sitting in a contemplative fashion.

Harvesting: Collecting artifacts. Sometimes referred to as foraging.

Mind viewing: Meditation.

Offering: The ritualistic act of leaving an object in a public place with the intent of releasing stagnant energy.

Openhearted: Living in an awake manner, accessing a higher level of consciousness.

Oracle: Text from the writings of wanderers.

Querying: Asking fellow wanderers for insight and guidance.

Seeding: The act of putting guerrilla art out into the world.

The Sleepers: Non Wander Society members.

Station drop: The act of leaving a wander station in a public location.

Tracking: Going on a pilgrimage to important sites of wanderers.

Vortals: Sacred landmarks of wanderers.

Wander cache: A gathering of members in a public location with the purpose of performing a specific task. Also referred to as “the gathering.”
