Blended Families

This session was held was held for a blended family. A father and his daughter joined households with a mother and her son. Tammy arranged to meet them at the local nature center in late afternoon, a time of day when the light can be beautiful. She first posed all four subjects together, then captured a portrait of the couple in a romantic setting. The kiss was spontaneous. It happened just as Tammy was about to tell them to get closer. The out-of-focus areas add an atmospheric look.

Family attitudes can range from casual to we-really-don’t-want-to-be-in-this-photo-together.

It pleases Tammy to create portraits in which the subjects are looking at each other, not at the camera, as this helps her to show the affection the subjects have for each other.
