Laboratory Theatre is a Brooklyn-based experimental theatre ensemble, under the direction of Yvan Greenberg, dedicated to the creation of original, experimental work for the theatre.
The company creates multi-layered works which blur the distinctions between dance and theatre through an organic commingling of texts, choreography, immersive sound-scores, improvisation, indeterminate structures, and video.
Laboratory Theatre's non-didactic but radically political aesthetic challenges standard ideas of form and process, creating organic performance situations which place primary focus on the presence of the performer and his/her relationship with the audience.
