Patch Theatre Company has a diverse repertoire of acclaimed, tour-ready productions for 4-8-year-olds and their families.
The company is based in Adelaide, South Australia and has presented over 100 new productions to more than 1.6 million children and their families since it began in 1972. Over the last decade, Patch Theatre Company presented six of its repertoire productions, in more than 20 international seasons, to children’s festivals and venues in the US, Canada, Singapore, Korea, Japan and New Zealand. Patch also has delivered seven consecutive national Playing Australia tours and eight seasons at the Sydney Opera House and nine seasons Arts Centre, Victoria.
They seek to provoke, tickle, prod and beguile children with performances that celebrate the experience of childhood, the joys of play, the whims of the imagination, the struggle to make meaning and the challenge of growing and developing through the most complex and telling phase of their lives.
The theatre they create for children seeks optimism in humanity and honours the spirit of resilience that can endure and overcome difficulties.
