The Fine Print Theatre Company focused on the social and political issues that shape our place in history. They tell human stories, experienced through the lives of people confronted by the events that make headlines.

The Fine Print Theatre Company explores the way community affected by cultural themes like racism or poverty, immigration or health-care, the War on Terror or Don't Ask, Don't Tell.

They do it in a personal way, providing the audience with an intimate glimpse into the lives of everyday people. People who are caught up in the struggle to get by, to hold a job, or maintain a marriage. People whose lives happen to be bound to the things we see in the news every day.

CITIZEN'S PLAY FESTIVAL is one of the latest successful projects. It is ten playwrights compete for a spot in theĀ  Season. The festival begins with ten new pieces from ten playwrights. The pieces are not short plays, but rather the seed of a full-length play. All ten pieces will be performed in the theatre.Audiences will vote, and four of the plays will be eliminated before week two.

In the second week, the six most popular plays from the week before -having undergone further development in the interim- will be performed. Three plays will be performed. Audiences will choose four plays to continue to week three.

In the final week, four plays duke it out for the top spot. Performing two plays per hour show. Audiences will choose one play -the winner will perform with talkback and closing night party to follow.
