Yarn

Hubro from Dalene Garn (wool)

250g (834oz) sheep white no. 0020

9mm (size 13) needles

Finished size: 40 × 60cm (16 × 24in)

Front:

CO 70 sts. Start with moss stitch as shown in the diagram. Begin with the bottom row and read the pattern from right to left. White squares indicate k and black squares indicate p. Work back the next row. Now the pattern needs to be read from left to right, white squares indicate p and black squares indicate k.

Continue back and forth until the work is complete. Cast (bind) off while knitting the last row in the diagram.

The back is knitted the same as the front, polar bear optional.

Assembly:

To highlight the image, sew a seam around the polar bear with chain stitch. Start in the middle of the back and follow the purl stitches around the bear.

Iron (press) the two pieces carefully. Insert a zip by hand (see Good Advice). Then place the two pieces wrong side to wrong side and sew around using buttonhole or overstitch stitches in the same yarn as used for the cushion.
