Overstitch around the evenweave before you start embroidering. Find the centre of the fabric and start with the black crown, about 8cm (314in) from the top. Sew using half cross stitches without tightening the thread too much.

It might be advantageous to finish the crown before you fill with the other colours. Continue until the entire piece is filled with stitches. The evenweave may stretch a little while working. Stretch and pull on the fabric as you go. When the embroidery is finished, block it as described in Good Advice.

Assembly:

Sew the zip on the back piece as described in Good Advice. Place the front and back pieces right sides together. Sew around all four edges. Open the zip. Press (iron) the seams apart and cut off the excess fabric in the corners. Reverse the pillow and press (iron) gently on the right side.
