White linen, 7 threads per cm:

64 × 52cm (25¹⁄₂ × 20³⁄₄in)

Yarn

DMC mouliné fine yarn:

3 skeins blue no. 336

1 skein red no. 666

Finished size: 30 × 50cm (12 × 20in)

Overstitch around the fabric before you begin. Place the piece of fabric with the right side towards you. Find the centre of the front width and start embroidering the red edge 27cm (10³⁄₄in) from the bottom. Follow the diagram opposite.

Assembly:

Sew in the zip as described in Good Advice. Leave approximately 2cm (³⁄₄in) seam allowance. Reverse the work so the front and back pieces are right sides together and sew a seam on each side.

Press the seams apart, cut off excess fabric in the corners and reverse the pillow.
