Work 101ch with light pink Lerke and make into a ring with a sl st. Crochet sc from the diagram in the Patterns, 95 sts. See Good Advice for tips on how to crochet sc with multiple colours. Read the diagram from right to left, bottom to top, just like when you are knitting. The extra 6 sts are always crocheted with light pink.

The work might stretch and become crinkled when you crochet but this will disappear when you block and work on it once you have finished.

The yarn follows you all the way around; the yarn you don’t use in the sc are hidden inside the st. Make sure not to tighten these threads. This will make the work uneven very easily.

You may want to colour the rows you have finished as you work along. This will make it easier to know where you are at any time.

Continue until you have finished the diagram.

Assembly:

Attach all loose ends and use a machine to sew a tight zigzag on each side of the central stitch in the light pink area. Cut the pieces apart.

Block the work with pins (see Good Advice).

Find a suitable fabric for the back piece. Here I’ve used light pink corduroy. Sew the pillow with fold (see Good Advice).
