Front: Natural coloured linen, 7.5 threads per cm, 52 × 52cm (2034 × 2034in)

Back: Natural coloured linen, 43 × 52cm (17 x 2034in) and 13 × 52cm (5 × 2034in)

Black no. 310, 2 skeins

Light pink no. 603, 2 skeins

Dark pink no. 602, 1 skein

Light yellow no. 743, 2 skeins

Dark yellow no. 972, 1 skein

Light blue no. 598, 2 skeins

Blue no. 807, 1 skein

NB: The pattern is sewn with the whole yarn, which is 6 threads, over 3 × 3 threads.

Finished size: 50 × 50cm (20 × 20in)

Find the centre of the fabric but place the subject as if the centre was 5cm (2in) higher. Follow the diagram below.

Assembly:

Press (iron) the work carefully from the inside. Sew the zip on the back piece (see Good Advice). Place the front and back pieces right sides together. Sew around all four sides. Open the zip. Press (iron) the seams apart and cut off excess fabric in the corners. Reverse the work and press (iron) carefully
