200g (7oz) dark blue no. 5563
150g (51⁄2oz) white no. 0020
4mm (size 6) needles
CO 276 sts with blue yarn on a circular needle and knit k129, p2, k129, p2 following the diagram. Place stitch markers before and after each purl section to help keep track of the front and back panels.
This work has pretty long leaps of yarn. It is therefore important to weave along the yarn on the back. Also make sure that you don’t tighten the thread too much.
Continue until it measures approximately 50cm (20in).
Assembly:
Secure all loose ends and press (iron) the work carefully.
Sew the zip as shown in Good Advice. Sew together the top and at the bottom sides with kitchener stitches.
