Leaf pattern

Lace knitting does not have to be as difficult as it looks. In the patterns given here, it’s mostly about yarn over needle and knitting two stitches together. In addition, you need to be able to count to ten!

Assembly:

Sew in all loose ends and overstich around the fabric. Place the fabric with the narrow end towards you and sketch up a square of 40 × 40cm (16 × 16in), 32cm (1234in) from the edge. Place the lace on top of the fabric. Pin the edges and make a small overstitch around the work.

Press (iron) the work from the backside.

Place the linen fabric right sides together and sew together approximately 5cm (2in) on each side. Press the seams apart before you sew the zip as described in Good Advice.

Reverse the work again so it has right sides together and sew a seam on each side.
