The whole blanket is knitted consistently with two threads in the same colour. CO 242 sts of turquoise yarn.
Row 1: Knit k (this will be the backside of the blanket)
Row 2: K.
Row 3: P.
Row 4: K.
Row 5: P.
Row 6: *Tk2tog, tk2tog, yo1, k1,
yo1, k1, yo1, k1, yo1, k2tog, k2tog*.
Repeat the 11 sts to the end of the row.
Row 7: K.
**Switch to dark blue yarn and repeat rows 4–7 once.
Switch to blue yarn and repeat twice.
Switch to dark grey yarn and repeat twice.
Switch to purple yarn and repeat once.
Switch to blue yarn and repeat once.
Switch to spring green yarn and repeat once.
Switch to light grey yarn and repeat twice.
Switch to blue yarn and repeat once.
Switch to turquoise and repeat once.**
Continue making stripes in this way from ** to ** until the blanket is about 2m (2yds)or your desired length, and cast (bind) off.
Every stripe will measure about 24cm (91⁄2in).
Assembly:
Sew in all loose ends.
