PT3 from Rauma Ullvarefabrikk (wool)

100g (3¹⁄₂oz) red no. 7018

100g (3¹⁄₂oz) pink no. 7054

6mm (size 10) needles

Finished size: 40 × 40cm (16 × 16in)

CO 3 sts with pink yarn and knit to end.

Row 2: K1, M1 by picking up the strand in between sts with RHN, slip onto LHN and knit back, knit to end.

Row 3: As row 2.

Continue increasing by 1 in the beginning of every row until the width is 40cm (16in). Then you should have about 87 sts on the needle. Switch to red yarn and knit 1 row k without increasing.

Then knit k1, k2tog and the rest of the sts on the needle k. Continue to cast (bind) off 1 st at the beginning of each row by knitting k1 and k2tog in this way until you have 3 sts left on the needle. Cast (bind) off.

Knit the back piece the same way.

Assembly:

Place the two pieces wrong sides together so that the pink edge is against the red and vice versa. Overstitch around on three sides and approximately 5cm (2in) on the bottom side. Sew 6 buttonhole loops (see Good Advice) and sew on the buttons.

Make four tassels from pink yarn and sew one to each corner.
