Crochet 114 ch with light grey and make a ring with 1 sl st. Crochet sc, first 4 rows of light grey, then follow the pattern which goes over 100 sts. See description on crocheting granny squares for how to crochet sc with multiple colours. Read the pattern (from Patterns) from right to left, bottom to top, just like when you knit. The extra 14 sts are always crocheted with light grey.
The work will stretch and become crinkled while you crochet but this will disappear when you block the work towards the end.
All the threads follow the work all the way around. The threads that don’t form a sc lie hidden inside the sts. Make sure you don’t tighten these threads; this will make the work uneven.
It can be a good idea to colour the rows that you have finished while you work your way up the diagram. This will make it easier to know where you are at any point of time.
Continue until you have finished the diagram.
Assembly:
Sew in all loose ends and sew a tight zigzag on each side of the central stitch in the light grey areas. Cut the work apart.
Block the work (see Good Advice).
Sew pillow with fold and described in Good Advice.
