100g (31⁄2oz) sheep white no. 806
100g (31⁄2oz) black no. 809
3.5mm (size 4) needles
CO 224 sts on a circular needle with white yarn. Knit 110 sts k from the diagram in the Patterns, p2 with white yarn, using a stitch holder in the side. Knit 110 sts k from the diagram and p2 in white yarn. Use a stitch holder on this side also. Continue this way until the work is complete. Cast (bind) off with black yarn.
It is a good idea to copy the diagram and mark off when you finish a row, using a coloured pencil for example. In this way you will always know where you are at any point in time.
Assembly:
Press (iron) the work carefully. Sew together the top and about 8cm (31⁄4in) on each side at the bottom with kitchener stitches. Sew a white ribbon on the inside of the remaining sts and sew buttons in place (see Good Advice).
