MAKES ABOUT 12 CUPS
If you have chronic digestive issues, I recommend sipping on this bone broth often and using it as a base for soups you make at home. This is also good for temporary tummy troubles.
4 pounds beef bones
3 bay leaves
1 ½ cups carrots
6 garlic cloves
1 ½ cups sliced leeks
1 onion
3 sprigs rosemary
1 teaspoon whole black peppercorns
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
12 cups water
1. Combine all the ingredients in a slow cooker, cover, and cook on low for 6 to 24 hours. Strain the broth, discarding the solids.
2. Drink some immediately and/or freeze the remainder in airtight containers so you always have bone broth on hand to make soup or to make your tummy feel better. It will keep for up to a week in the fridge.
