Pneuma

(for Isd)

i died twice
when you buried
yourself in my body
skin beneath skin
where all rivers flow
we sing with the sirens
to the eternal sea
undulating
in the most calm
tearing of flesh
rising with orpheus
we bid forgiveness
in this embrace
dark nakedness
robbed of vital breath
we depart
never distant
hurling ourselves
against the rocks
time has forgotten
