Cherry Vanilla Smoothie

Cherry and vanilla together form a classic combination. Leftovers can be frozen and served as a healthy dessert.

Ingredients

2 pears, cored

1 banana

1 cup cherries, pit-ted

12 vanilla bean pulp or 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 tablespoon honey

2 cups almond milk

  1. Take pears, banana, cherries, vanilla bean (or vanilla extract), honey, and 1 cup almond milk, and place in a blender. Blend on high for 30 seconds.
  2. Remove lid, push all unblended food down onto the blender blades, then add the remaining 1 cup almond milk.
  3. Blend until smoothie reaches desired consistency.

DIY Cherry Pitting

Hold a cherry in one hand and puncture one end with a toothpick or small stick (like a manicure stick). Scrape your toothpick around the edges of the pit, and pop it out. This can be a juicy mess, so make sure you have plenty of napkins nearby.
