FEATURED CRYSTAL
RHODOCHROSITE
KEYWORDS
Kindness, assurance, assertion
Quietly distancing yourself helps you to deal with destructive emotions.
Rhodochrosite teaches that repressing strong emotions exacerbates them, as they will underlie all you do and eventually emerge stronger than ever. Only by releasing them can you be free. This is particularly true of anger, which Rhodochrosite helps you to transmute into dynamic assertiveness and appropriate action. But it is equally true of destructive tendencies, such as a lack of love for yourself and others. The stone offers you abiding love, supporting the unselfish, unconditional acceptance that underpins constructive relationships. If you have projected your power on to someone else, Rhodochrosite helps you to take it back. It is traditionally held to attract a soulmate, though this may be someone who facilitates learning difficult lessons rather than a romantic partner. Rhodochrosite assists in identifying ongoing patterns and shows the purpose behind experiences. With the stone’s help, you learn the lessons, thank your soulmate or soul teacher, and move on.
Rhodochrosite teaches your heart how to assimilate painful feelings without shutting down. It removes denial and encourages you to acknowledge and be with such feelings as they occur until they dissipate, and then let go so they no longer intrude. The stone encourages passionate enjoyment of life and moment-by-moment expression of how you are.
Calm, assured. Standing in the power-full self.
Holding your Rhodochrosite (or a photograph of it) between your thumb and forefinger, say out loud ‘I am angry about/because [insert your reason].’ Breathe in. Let your breath out, slowly allowing the anger to flow into the crystal. Put the crystal down. Close your thumb and forefinger together. Breathe. Turn around. Slowly walk away. Turn to look at the crystal. Smile. Breathe. Afterwards, cleanse the crystal (cleanse a photograph by placing a Smoky Quartz on it).
