Chapter Forty-Two

Seattle, Washington

All at once the Ang brothers’ big screen went dark.

“God damn it! What’s going on? Get Dmitryi on the phone, Win,” growled Kellog.

The younger brother punched a sequence into their virtual kiosk. He waited, but nothing happened. “He’s not answering.” He studied the screen and shook his head in confusion. “It’s like he’s turned off his PA.”

Kellog glared at the screen. “Could the Russian be responsible for this?”

“I don’t know. Why would he? He knows the terrible consequences if the Bigfoot follow through with their plans.”

“Did we lose one of the satellites?” demanded Kellog.

Winston tapped several buttons on the desktop monitor. “Shit!”

“What’s wrong, little brother?”

“We’ve lost the entire feed over the Upper Peninsula. They’re all blinded. I can’t reach the Russian either. Everything is lost.”
