One Woman’s Journey from Gay to Straight

I’m sure not looking forward to this Christmas concert. It’s going to be a true test. Not of faith or sexuality, but sanity. I’m probably going to see people I haven’t laid eyes on in nineteen years. Some of whom I made a complete fool of myself with and in front of.

Two decades may sound like a very long time but somehow it flew by—with each year passing faster than the last. Of course, a wild life does tend to throw lighter fluid on the candle’s flame.

It’s difficult to put into words exactly how I leapt from rocker to repentant. And just when I think I’ve landed on the epiphany date, I have to go back another year.

Anyway, the first set of business is the duty of reacquainting. I’m not going to spend the holidays sitting up on the hill, in this reanimated corpse of a home, like some cranky spinster. Too soon for that. Besides, I can’t very well run a B&B or conduct a church choir without making nice.

Need to see what I’m dealing with here.

Praise Jesus
