Cathy H. C. Hsu, PhD, is a Professor and Associate Dean in the School of Hotel and Tourism Management at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She is a member of the International Academy for the Study of Tourism. Her research foci have been tourism destination marketing, tourist behaviours, service quality and the economic and social impacts of casino gaming. She has edited four books and authored five books, with over 180 refereed journal and proceedings publications. She is the editor-in-chief of the Journal of Teaching in Travel and Tourism and serves on eight journal editorial boards.
William C. Gartner, PhD, is a Professor of Applied Economics at the University of Minnesota. Dr Gartner has conducted numerous research studies in the area of tourism image development, seasonal home impacts, tourism marketing and methods for tourism research. He serves on the editorial board of numerous journals, and has been the Secretary, Vice President, President and Board Chair for the International Academy for the Study of Tourism. He is the author of numerous tourism articles published in professional journals and two books, Tourism Development: Principles, Processes and Policies, Wiley and Sons, and Trends in Outdoor Recreation, Leisure and Tourism, CABI.
