* Lieutenant Turberville was taken to Beleyme Prison in PĂ©rigueux, but while being transferred to a prison in Lyon he escaped on December 2, 1941. The agent was taken in by farmers, who hid him for over a year. Turberville successfully returned to England via Spain in April 1943. Turberville served out the war as an SOE training instructor in England. A plaque in the French town of Beleymas commemorates the Corsican Mission.
