Acknowledgments

Wow, who would have thought Wild and Country would be my biggest book so far? Not me, I swear. I hadn’t planned to write Tucker and Addison’s story, but I got to know them better in Whiskey and Country and couldn’t miss the opportunity to present them to you.

And yes, what a wild ride these two put me through. I love their energy, their loyalty, and mostly their hearts. They are two people we would all love to have in our friend circle. They are passionate and strong-headed. I wrote the first draft of this book on a whim before I even finished Whiskey and Country. Both Addison and Tucker were living in my head, and they wouldn’t let me finish the other book first. Yeah, they can be loud. And pushy. But in the best of ways.

Tucker and Addison’s tale isn’t your typical love story, but it was one that had to be told. If you’ve ever suffered from postpartum depression, remember you’re not alone. Just please don’t isolate yourself. There are people who can help you through this. My heart is with you.

I wrote this book in two countries, six provinces and as many states, a dozen cities, living at home, at other people’s houses, and hotels, trying to put the final touches to it.

I have many people to be thankful for.

First, my husband and children. I love you. I think those words sum it all up. I’m so happy each time you get excited about my newest literary project.

Shalini, one more project we can proudly say, “It’s a wrap.” And Tucker, wow, he was a love-at-first-sight main character, right? What’s not to love about him? Thank you for all your hard work and for being there for me as a friend along the way. I’m happy we’re doing this together around the moon. Always.

Mom and Dad, thank you for having us over when we had no home and when all our plans changed overnight. This was really generous, and I truly appreciate it. Mom, thank you for reading my postpartum depression chapters and confirming I was right on track with Addi’s struggles.

Jo and Catherine, thank you for having us over when, once again, we had no place to stay after we decided to drive across the country with our kids and all our belongings, with no real plan. I know they’re six of us and it can be wild, but you showed us what true friendship is all about.

Jacynthe, Virginie, thank you for always encouraging me and making me a better person.

To my readers, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Seeing my books in your hands, and reading your positive comments and encouragements are always the greatest joys an author can experience. So thank you! Truly.

To my ARC team, you guys rock. I’m always excited to put a new book out there because I can’t wait to hear your feedback. Many of you have become friends over the last few releases, and I’m happy to be able to share these stories with you. Thank you for your love and support!

To the bloggers, Bookstagrammers, BookTokers, and Youtubers, who love and share my work, I’m super thankful for all of it. None of this would be as great if it weren’t for you. You make me proud to be the author that I am when I see you loving and sharing my work.

To all y’all, cheers!
