INT. UNCLE BEN’S CAR - DAY
It is a reprise of the scene in the first film, with Peter and Uncle Ben sitting in the car, having a chat. Outside the windows, the world is WHITE.
UNCLE BEN
All the things you’ve been thinking about,
Peter, make me sad.
PETER
Can’t you understand? I’m in love with Mary Jane.
UNCLE BEN
Peter, all the times we’ve talked of honesty,
fairness, justice—all of those times I counted
on you to have the courage to take those
dreams out into the world.
PETER
I can’t live your dreams anymore.
I want a life of my own.
UNCLE BEN
You’ve been given a gift, Peter.
With great power comes great responsibility.
(reaches for Peter’s hand)
Take my hand, son.
Peter regards the extended hand, conflicted. Should he take it or shouldn’t he? Uncle Ben looks into Peter’s eyes, offering the road of responsibility.
Peter decides with a broken heart and eyes full of tears.
PETER
No, Uncle Ben. I’m just Peter Parker.
I’m Spider-Man no more. No more.

INT. PETER’S APARTMENT - CONTINUOUS
Peter is still prone in bed. We zoom in on his eyes again as he says with resolution…
PETER
No more.
CUT TO:
EXT. BACK ALLEY - LATER
Peter, now dressed in his regular clothes, approaches a TRASH CAN while holding his SPIDER-MAN SUIT. With great determination, he drops it in, considers a moment, then walks away.
We pan down to the trash can to see the famous suit, empty of its usual occupant, looking small and weak as Peter recedes into the distance. He has made his choice.
