CHAPTER 26
FEBRUARY 1981

Annie’s third birthday party was attended by all grandparents, Siobhan, Jen, Molly, and Teddy, as well as Abbey. The family did sightseeing in Los Angeles at Disney Land and Universal Studios. They took a short plane ride up the coast to spend four days in San Francisco where they visited Fisherman’s Wharf, the Wax Museum, Chinatown, and China Beach. Everyone stayed at the old Victorian that had been unused, except for vacations once a year by the family or a friend. They dined at Boccocelli’s, Zoe’s old friend’s restaurant. Rob was still the charming and handsome playboy.

Zoey was taking the projects that interested her most. Sean knew all along that his wife could never stop working altogether, although she had proved to be a much better mother than he had counted on. She was happy, and everything was going well inside the home and out. The confidence she had lost in England returned. Once word got out that she was doing photography for bands, the phone didn’t stop. Zoey hired an assistant to manage and help with all the new business.
