ABOUT THE AUTHOR
A journalist and author of several fiction and nonfiction books, Malcolm MacPherson grew up in California and Connecticut, graduated from Trinity College, served in the Marine Corps, and worked as a staff journalist for Time and Newsweek magazines, the latter for twelve years as a correspondent in Los Angeles, Nairobi, Paris, and London, covering quotidian events, sectarian war in Ireland, and conflicts in Africa and the Middle East. Most recently, he reported from Iraq on assignment with Time. He has published an acclaimed history of the Holocaust, narrative histories, and novels, including thrillers and a coming-of-age story set in Disneyland. He lives in Virginia with his family.
