SOBS HER HEARTBROKEN MOTHER.
To do him justice, Arnie Muckraker wrote a good piece for the ‘Gazette’, asking the public to come forward if they had visitors from out of town the night Emily was murdered. He fleshed it out, laid on a sob story of her distraught parents asking for help from the public. Please somebody, somewhere, must know something, sobs her heartbroken mother. For once, Arnie does not take the opportunity to denigrate the police; he can see that they are stretched to the limit, straining all their resources in the attempt to find the killer. It does not currently suit Arnie to go on the attack, but he will call in a favour in the future.
