On the press tour for the movie Wine Country, her directorial debut, Netflix Film asked Amy Poehler about her advice to other young female filmmakers. She said, “Do it even if you don’t think you’re ready…A lot of young women wait until they think they’re really, really ready for something. And I’ve worked with a lot of guys who aren’t ready for what they’re doing.”
