REALLY SIMPLE ADVICE FOR A REALLY ROUGH DAY

Some advice is so simple—so easy and so unequivocally true—that you respond, “Oh, yes, of course,” and you wonder why you didn’t think of it yourself.

That’s how I feel about Tracee Ellis Ross’s advice for hard times. She says in an Instagram post:

When I’m having a really rough day, or a really bad moment, I have three tips:

1. Change your underwear.

2. Wash your face.

3. Look at a tree.

That’s it. Of course, you can do those three things—even on the worst of days. If you’re having a rough time of it, don’t take my advice. Take Tracee’s.
