The techniques in this book are based on natural healing practices that have been developed by innumerable health care providers across the globe and across the centuries. The author wishes to acknowledge his debt to those who have laid such a firm foundation upon which he can build.
However, the information in this book is unique in both its desired effects and in its combination of techniques. The techniques in this book can be implemented in a very short period of time, and will strengthen that part of the body—the large intestine—that most people take for granted before it takes them to the hospital. The emphasis here is well expressed by that old saying, “Life starts in the stomach, but death starts in the colon.”
This is not to imply that the information and techniques in this small book are a panacea. Instead, the concepts and gentle exercises discussed here are a valuable asset toward the health of the colon. And if the colon, which is a critical part of the immune system, gets ill, the rest of the organs, in time, follow suit.
Although the exercises detailed in this book are so gentle that almost anyone can do them, there are people who, because of physical disabilities or prior surgery, cannot or should not perform some or all of them. If any exercise or any portion of any exercise causes pain or causes you concern, cease that activity immediately. Although this is highly unlikely, still some individuals may have known pre-existing conditions, or unknown conditions that make a given posture or movement inadvisable.
It is appropriate and necessary to consult with one or more health professionals prior to beginning any exercise program, no matter how non-strenuous that exercise program may be. Please feel free to take this book to your trusted health care practitioner for evaluation. If he or she has any questions, she or he should feel free to call the Koyfman Center to discuss these techniques further.
