You can be dreaming of a white Christmas, or you can be creating your own white-themed holiday regardless of whether snow is in the forecast. With this rich, creamy, snow-white hot chocolate, you’ll definitely set the stage.
Makes 10 to 12 servings.
4 cups heavy cream
12 cups milk (not skim)
24-oz package white chocolate chips
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup white peppermint schnapps (optional)
Mini marshmallows (for garnish)
1. Combine the heavy cream and milk in the slow cooker, then stir in the white chocolate chips. Cook on Low for 2 to 3 hours, stirring occasionally.
2. When nearly ready to serve, stir in the vanilla extract and the peppermint schnapps. Cook on Low for another 5 to 10 minutes until the liquid is heated through.
3. Serve by ladling into decorative mugs, and garnish with mini marshmallows.
