Psalm 4:2–6 O sons of man, how long will my honor be a disgrace?

3 But know that Yahweh has set apart for himself the faithful one.

4 Be disturbed but do not sin.

Psalm 9:4–16 For you have maintained my just cause;

15 The nations have fallen in the pit that they made;
their foot is caught in the net that they hid.
16 Yahweh has made himself known;
he has executed judgment.

Psalm 11:1 In Yahweh I have taken refuge;

“Flee to your mountain like a bird”?
Psalm 11:4–7 Yahweh is in his holy temple;
Yahweh is in the heavens on his throne.
His eyelids see;
they test the children of humankind.
5 Yahweh tests the righteous,
but the wicked and the lover of violence

6 He will rain coals on the wicked.
Burning sulfur and scorching wind
will be the portion of their cup.
7 For Yahweh is righteous;
he loves righteous deeds.
The upright shall see his face.
Psalm 12:4 those who say, “With our tongue we will prevail.
Our lips are on our side.
Who is master over us?”
Psalm 12:5 “Because of the oppression of the afflicted,
because of the groaning of the poor,
now I will rise up,” Yahweh says.
“I shall put them in the safety for which they long.”
Psalm 13:1–2 How long, O Yahweh? Will you forget me forever?
How long will you hide your face from me?
2 How long must I take counsel in my soul,
and sorrow in my heart all the day?
How long will my enemy be exalted over me?
Psalm 14:1 The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.”
They are corrupt.
They do abominable deeds.
There is none who does good.
Psalm 14:3–4 All have gone astray;
they are altogether corrupt.
There is not one who does good;
there is not even one.
4 All who do evil—do they not know,
they who eat my people as though they were eating bread?
They do not call on Yahweh.
Jeremiah 30:3 For look, days are coming,’ declares Yahweh, ‘when I will restore the fortunes of my people Israel and Judah,’ says Yahweh, ‘and I will bring them back to the land that I gave to their ancestors and they will take possession of it.’ ”
Amos 9:14 And I will restore the fortunes of my people Israel, and they will rebuild the desolated cities and will inhabit them. And they will plant vineyards and will drink their wine, and they will make gardens and will eat their fruit.
Psalm 14:7 Oh that from Zion would come salvation for Israel!
When Yahweh returns the fortunes of his people,
Jacob will rejoice; Israel will be happy.
Psalm 15:1–5 O Yahweh, who may reside in your tent?
Who may dwell on your holy mountain?
2 He who walks blamelessly and does what is right.
He who speaks honestly in his heart.
3 He does not slander with his tongue.
He does not harm his friend,
nor bring up a disgrace against his neighbor.
4 In his eyes a rejected one is contemptible,
but he honors those who respect Yahweh.
He takes an oath to his own injury and does not retract it.
5 He does not lend his money at interest,
and does not take a bribe against the innocent.
He who does these things
will never be shaken.

2 Samuel 22:1–15 Then David spoke to Yahweh the words of this song, on the day Yahweh delivered him from the hand of all his enemies and from the hand of Saul.

“Yahweh is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer.
3 I take refuge in God, my rock, my shield, and the strength of my salvation.
My stronghold and my refuge, O my savior, you will save me from violence!
4 I call upon Yahweh who is praiseworthy,
and I am saved from those who hate me.
5 For the breaker waves of death engulfed me;
the currents of chaos overwhelmed me.
6 The ropes of Sheol entangled me;
the snares of death confronted me.
7 In my distress I called upon Yahweh, and to my God I called.
He heard my voice from his temple,
and my cry for help was to his ears.
8 The earth heaved and shook,
the foundations of heaven trembled and heaved
because he was angry.
9 Smoke went up from his nostrils and fire from his mouth.
Burning coals devoured, they burned from him.
10 He bowed the heavens and came down;
a very thick cloud was under his feet.
11 He rode upon a cherub and flew;
he was seen on the wings of the wind.
12 He put darkness as a canopy all around him,
a collection of thick rain clouds.
13 From the brightness before him
flamed burning coals of fire.
14 Yahweh thundered from heaven,
and the Most High uttered his voice.
15 He sent arrows and he scattered them,
lightning, and he directed them.
Psalm 18:39 And you girded me with strength for the battle;
those rising against me you made to kneel under me.
Psalm 18:46b–47 Yahweh lives, and blessed be my rock,
and may the God of my salvation be exalted—
47 the God who executed vengeance for me,
and subdued peoples under me,
Psalm 18:20–25 Yahweh has rewarded me according to my righteousness;
According to the cleanness of my hands
he has repaid me.
21 Because I have kept the ways of Yahweh,
and have not acted wickedly against my God,
22 because all his ordinances are before me,

25 To the loyal you show yourself loyal.
To the blameless you show yourself blameless.
Psalm 18:50 the one who makes great victories for his king,
and who shows loyal love for his anointed,
to David and to his descendants forever.
Psalm 19:1–6 The heavens are telling the glory of God,
and the firmament proclaims the work of his hands.
2 Every day they pour forth speech,
and every night they tell knowledge.
3 There is no speech and there are no words;
their sound is inaudible.
4 Yet in all the world their line goes out,
and their words to the end of the world.
In them he has pitched a tent for the sun,
5 and it is like a bridegroom
who comes out of his bridal chamber.
It is glad like a strong man
to run its course.
6 Its rising is from one end of the heavens
and its circuit to the other end of them;
and nothing is hidden from its heat.
