Years ago, at a European conference of Transpersonal Psychology in Milan where I was invited to speak, I was asked who my teachers were. The answer is: You. All who came to me for counseling, all who came to our center to heal an old hurt or ancient wound, all who will read this book and change their lives while affecting untold others... You are my teachers.
Now, to be a little more specific: The Six-Step Process is a natural progression from a process my first teacher, Sandy Levey-Lunden, taught in the first ACIM workshops I took with her in 1993. It was her conviction, passion and commitment that gave me the courage to undergo my own great undoing of beliefs. It was Suzi Butterfield in Arenal (CR) who told me I was a ‘therapist’ when that idea was so far from my mind. Dr. Gerald Jampolsky convinced me, finally, to write this book. Jerry and Diane Cirincione graciously agreed to write the foreword and then, it was Gerard Krans who provided the financial support needed for lift off. Without Stan and Jane Silverman’s unfailing trust in our work so much of what we, and others, have been able to do for so many would not have been possible.
Anne Dillon wrote an early draft, and Anne Andrew added to it, conceived the structure of the book and nudged me to keep going. Anne’s loving persistence ensured that we now can offer you a blueprint of a most useful and practical path to inner peace.

D. Patrick Miller very quickly realized the importance of this little book and became the agent, or patient doula, providing invaluable insight and guidance.
Every night at our center we end the day with rounds of Gratitude. Now it is my turn and this gratitude reaches out to All of You. My final Gratitude is for Stacy Sully, my noble reflection, who gently teaches me how to love every day.
