ACCEPT YOUR EMOTIONS AS THEY ARE
Connect with your emotions. Do not reject them.
Activity 1:
What do you do when you are ANGRY or SAD?
Your emotions are a guide. They show you what is important to you and
what matters to you. There is no need to hide your feelings or to run away
from your feelings.
Let’s try to ACCEPT our emotions with these steps:
1.
If you are feeling angry, sad, mad or irritated, sit down. Yes, sit down.
2.
Drink a glass of water if you need to.
3.
Label your emotions and say it out: “I am feeling angry!”
4.
If you need to cry, go ahead and cry. If you need to shout out in the
privacy of your room, shout out.
