at school the next day

Josh ignores me

he acts like

I’ve got a disease

now I’m starting to

get mad with him

is he a friend

or isn’t he?

I hear him bragging

about his dad again

to some of the kids

and suddenly it sounds

strange to me

like he’s an actor

in a play

spouting lines

he’s learned by heart.
