Vitamin K

Vitamin K is another fat-soluble vitamin that must be consumed with some dietary fat for your body to absorb it. Its most important role is in aiding with the formation of blood clots. If you cut yourself, you want your blood to form a clot as quickly as possible to stop the bleeding—a deficiency in vitamin K will make this very difficult. Foods high in vitamin K include spinach, asparagus, broccoli, lentils, eggs, and meats. If you’re eating a well-rounded diet that includes a variety of fruits and vegetables, you’re probably getting enough vitamin K. If you don’t eat many vegetables, you might want to consider eating more or supplementing with vitamin K.
