Ketogenic Diets

The ketogenic diet is one of the most popular diets right now, with keto books, blogs, recipes, and supplements popping up everywhere. The goal of a true ketogenic diet is to keep carbohydrate intake very low, with a moderate protein intake and a high dietary fat intake. This is different from what most people would consider keto: simply removing carbs while keeping protein high. There is some interesting research being done on the possible health benefits of the ketogenic diet in medical situations, including potential anticancer benefits, but for now it’s too early to say definitely if the ketogenic diet should be used in medical settings.
