California Roll in a Bowl
The California roll may be the most popular sushi roll in America, and the ingredients are quite simple. If you want a sushi fix but don’t want to learn how to roll it yourself, this bowl is a quick and easy way to enjoy some fresh California roll.
Serves 2
- 2 cups cooked white rice
- ½ cup chopped imitation crab
- ½ medium cucumber, peeled and chopped
- ½ medium avocado, peeled, pitted, and sliced
- 1 sheet dried seaweed, crumbled
- 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- ¼ cup rice vinegar
- ¼ cup pickled sushi ginger
- Combine all ingredients except soy sauce, vinegar, and ginger in a large bowl and mix well.
- Evenly divide mixture into two serving bowls.
- In a separate container, mix soy sauce and vinegar.
- Drizzle sauce over rice mixture, top with ginger, and serve.
