Lemon-Steamed Halibut

This simple and citrusy dish works well with halibut but can also be prepared with cod, tilapia, or any other whitefish instead.

Serves 6

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Cut six foil squares big enough to fold each fillet into its own foil packet.
  3. Place a fillet on each foil square and sprinkle with dill, onion powder, parsley, paprika, salt, lemon pepper, and garlic powder, then drizzle fillets with lemon juice.
  4. Fold foil around each fillet to create a sealed packet. Place packets on a large baking sheet.
  5. Bake 20–25 minutes until fish flakes easily with a fork.

Choose Your Fish

There’s a wide variety of fish to choose from, all with their own unique flavors and nutritional profiles. If you’re used to sticking with the basics, like tilapia and tuna, try some of the other options available at your local store. Red snapper, cod, Chilean sea bass, or any of the other fish you may find are excellent to try in this recipe.
