Orange-Flavored Beef Stir-Fry

This low-fat spin on a classic Chinese dish is a healthy alternative that’s easy to prepare at home. This is a mild recipe; for extra spice, try adding some hot sauce or chili peppers.

Serves 4

  1. In a small bowl, grate zest from 1 orange and squeeze juice from 2 oranges. Add garlic and soy sauce, and stir.
  2. In a separate small bowl, mix cornstarch with cold water and add to orange juice bowl.
  3. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook beef strips until browned on all sides and cooked to desired doneness, roughly 6–8 minutes.
  4. Set beef aside and pour juice mix into skillet, boiling until juice thickens. Return beef to skillet and add orange slices, green onion, and sesame seeds, tossing well before serving.
