Garlic Mashed Sweet Potatoes

This recipe takes a bit longer to prepare, but the garlic provides a delicious spin on traditional mashed potatoes.

Serves 5

  1. Place potatoes in a slow cooker, adding enough water to cover them. Add salt and cook on low 4 hours or until potatoes are soft.
  2. In a small saucepan over medium heat, sauté garlic in butter for 3 minutes or until garlic is slightly browned, and then stir in milk and sour cream, mixing well.
  3. Drain potatoes and return to slow cooker, adding sauce. Mash with a potato masher or with a blender until smooth.
