NASHVILLE, TN
MAY THROUGH OCTOBER

The Bluebird Cafe is one of Nashville’s most famous venues for hosting some of the city’s most talented up-and-coming musicians as well as many established songwriters. In a stroke of genius, the owners decided to have a Bluebird on the Mountain concert series on the plaza of Vanderbilt’s Dyer Observatory during the summer months. The observatory is atop one of the tallest hills in Nashville, providing a gorgeous sunset backdrop to the evening concerts. The casual atmosphere paired with the extreme talent make for an authentic Nashville experience.
Each group pays by the carload and brings their own chairs and picnic spreads. But don’t be fooled by the casual atmosphere. This is a swanky crowd, full of the who’s who of Nashville and country music. At this venue you will find sophisticated Southern-style hors d’oeuvres and some good bottles of wine. Bluebird on the Mountain has been called one of the best music venues in Music City, which is quite a declaration. Once the wine glasses are empty and the performances are over, the Seyfert Telescope is opened for attendees to end their night with some magnificent star-gazing.
