Curraghbeena Road House

Architect: Luigi Rosselli, Edward Birch, and Pia Francesca

Location: Sydney, Australia

Photography: Justin Alexander

This house was renovated with the addition of an L-shaped volume to the original construction, which modernizes the residence while preserving and embracing its core. Because the terrain is steep, the three stories cascade down toward the harbor, where a pool bonds the house to the sea. The large balconies and windows in the living area project the spaces toward the outside.

Rounded shapes in neutral colors give a modern look to any construction. If you also add furniture with simple lines, the result is a very minimalist space.
