I understand why authors retreat to secluded cabins. Writing is an obsessive experience you don’t want to impose on anyone. And yet, as a mom, wife, CEO, coach, daughter, and friend, I wrote this book in all my free time (cue laughter). I want to acknowledge absolutely everyone who came in contact with me over the year(s) who may have found me a single-minded companion. I was. I appreciate your generosity, kindness, and grace.
Special thanks:
Jim at LGRLiterary for seeing my vision, and Quarto, for making it reality. Jeff, for capturing the essence of our parenting archetypes. And Ned, for your beautiful prose.
My amazing team at ImpactADHD.com, for your encouragement and enthusiasm. Diane, Natasha, Shelley, Brit, Jeremy, Claire, Caitlin, Hilary—Monday meetings start the week with a smile, which is truly something to celebrate.
My spectacular parenting tribe, clients and community around the globe—your vulnerability, transparency, and trust are humbling and empowering. We love supporting you each day. You make a difference!
My home crew—Shelley, for creating space and being my cheerleader; Suzie, for more than a decade of just everything; Sarah, for keeping home and office habitable; Sophie, for ever-presence and puppy love.
My parents (Mom, Dad, Mom), my most authentic cheerleaders.
My dear friends, siblings, and neighbors—and all your amazing kids—for a deep sense of connection and belonging, even in my absence.
Diane, after nearly a decade of conscious partnership, I cannot imagine my world without you. I hope I’ve done you proud, represented our work honorably. Your wisdom shines through the pages.
My kids, Bex & Alicia, Syd, Josh—my puppies—you’re my muses, my joy, why I do this amazing work in the world. Thanks for your patience, for allowing me to share your stories in service, and for seeing the gifts in your challenges.
My champion and partner, David Taylor-Klaus. I love getting to share this work with you, birthing books, our open nest—and I love you.
My coaching community: I am complete, for now.
