Born in 1959 in the suburbs of Paris, France, André Marois is a writer and runs workshops in schools. He’s lived in Montréal, Canada, since 1992 and, in addition to being a regular contributor to journals and magazines in Québec and France, he writes crime novels for adults and detective stories for children.

Patrick Doyon is an animator and illustrator with a degree in graphic design from the Université du Québec à Montréal. He was nominated for an Academy Award for the animated short film Dimanche, which was inspired by his experiences growing up in a small town in Canada. In addition to his film work, Doyon is a book and magazine illustrator who has won many awards for his editorial illustrations. The Sandwich Thief is his first book. He lives in Montreal, Canada.
