Jack Mingo is the author/co-author of more than 50 books, including Doctors Killed George Washington and Random Kinds of Factness. His work has appeared in hundreds of publications, including The New York Times Sunday Magazine, Salon, Washington Post, Readers Digest, Wall Street Journal, and National Enquirer. Mingo keeps half a million bees in six backyard hives in Alameda, an island community in the San Francisco Bay. Each year, his hard-working bees produce as many as 59 gallons of honey (650 pounds, or 472 pint jars), some of which he sells in select local establishments.
